MU: THE ADVENT OF CATACLYSMS

Sept-27, 2012 - In the story of humanity, human beings refer to several legendary continents disappeared because of great cataclysms.

"Atlantis not a myth?". In the western civilization, Socrat was the first to tell about the legendary continent of Atlantis, a kingdom beyond the Hercules’ columns which should has been engulfed in water thousands of years ago. His disciple Plato describes it thus: "This island was larger that Libya and Asia together; from there, at that time, was possible for navigators the passage towards the other islands and from these islands, (the passage) on all the continents located on the other side and which surround this distant sea, the true sea (..). However thus, in this island named Atlantis, existed a great and marvellous powerfull kingdom which hold dominion over the whole island, as many other islands and of some parts of the continent; and also, on this side of the strait, they rulled on the territories of Lybia till Egypt, of Europe till Tyrrhenia"

One also refers to a continent disappeared in the Mayas’ Troano Codex in which a great catastrophe is also evoked who should have
destroyed a continent called MU. The text speaks about terrible seisms which lasted thirteen "chuen" (days?) swelling and engulfing the grounds several times before tearing them. All this was written in order to avoid to forget… also on stone… so that the events remain in memories. Several great discoveries such some antic ruins were discovered in Guerrero (Mexico), an entire city covered of volcanic ashes, buried ten meters under the ground. This event tells us that populations were destroyed in this part of the world by a sudden cataclysm as that one of Pompei in Italy. But with this difference that the depth of these discoveries induces that the ruins are old of about fifty thousand years.

"The lost continent of Mu?". It exists some geologists, anthropologists and historians; adventurous at their beginnings who were tempted to reformulate this thesis for thinking that South America, Egypt and India had welcomed the survivors of some great cataclysm at a period prior to 6000 B.C. The legend generally locates it in the Pacific with the Faroe Islands and the surrounding islands as some ground remains of this antic continent.

Unfortunately and for their great discredit, these technicians were deserved by the "theosophic" current during the 19th century, which saw their thesis recovered by too many romantics but also fanatic occultists. In consequence, the lost continents of Atlantis and Mu were thus described as a trickery by the western intelligengia who did not want that the fundamental dogma of the History of Humanity were questioned together with the established blessed way of development and progress of human beings. And so, all the young historians and geologists in power who were attracted by the thesis of Atlantis and Mu saw their credit cut off and gave up rapidly the idea to engage their carrier on that theme for avoiding to be qualified as "crank" and to lost their credibility.

The legend of MU was thus left to the romantic vein of writers such Lovecraft and others. More recently, the legend of MU also interested a genius Italian comics author, Hugo Pratt, (1926-1995). He created a character named Corto Maltese, very psychological and philosophical, in an adventurous saga describing his research of wasted and lost times. His most remarkable works remains
unconditionally: "MU" (Casterman - 1992).

If one may accept or not the idea of a geological cataclysm which would have destroyed the legentary Atlantis and MU continents, one may not refute the signs of big castrophes which occurred in a deep past. In fact, from the 18th century to the beginning of the 19th century, the science of catastophes ("catastrophism") was a reasonable scientific theory with a lot of famous partisans naturalists and evolutionists. It was generally admitted that the extinction of species was the fact of great catastrophes like floods and earthquakes.

It is true that a thesis is emitted to be contradicted and thus replaced by another… and it is a natural intellectual joke.

One admitted that civilizations were destroyed by wars and cataclysms… but till now, never the Absurb could be suspected to be able to destroy a complete civilization.

Thus 200 years after the first evocation of the lost continent of MU, here is that two continents are discovered in The Pacific Ocean: incredibly entire artificial continents have recomposed themselves in this ocean. Infinite volume of plastic garbages and microparticles agglomerated themselves by the effect of the currents for creating two artificial islands, almost undetectable because floating under the water surface. Other garbages continents may exist around the world, in all oceans and seas.

And here is the return of some kind of "MU" continent, but from now on, it is far away from romantism... only the result of human absurdity.

It it the antic MU continent originally engulfing under the waters, whose phantom is now reappearing... claiming for revenge, and it seems to call great catastrophes.

27-09-12 - Indonesia: there is a major fracture of the tectonics plate causing earthquakes ("Nature" magazine). According to this work, the Indo-Australian tectonic plate is literally tear apart off Sumatra. Other strong earthquakes are coming in the future.
